My main employment has been within the print and design industry. With my varied experience in life I have a wide-ranging set of skills that I can apply to the design field and would bring a benefit to the profession. I lived in Thailand for seven years and worked as a teacher. I returned to the UK to resettle here with my family and have undertook a full time education where I am currently enroled with the aim to gain a degree in Digital Arts field

A break down of my skills are:

Teaching:

Experience of Teaching English, Math and Science to children in a private school in Thailand, with emphasis on Primary education. I have also trained new recruits and updated staff skills within my role as manager in the printing industry. I also have experience as an Education Support Assistant/ Special Education Needs working with classes’ p1 to p7 within UK schools.

Languages:

Native English speaker, with good reading and writing skills, also nearly fluent in spoken Thai.

Communication:

Excellent oral and written skills developed over many years’ experience working and dealing with a wide variety of people of different backgrounds and cultures. I am adept at giving presentations and reporting, whether written or oral.

Teamwork:

Wide experience of working within a variety of different groups as a team member and as a team leader. I have the skill to integrate into different cultures and roles quickly and effectively.

I.T.:

Advanced working knowledge of Windows, Apple OS and Linux,  Microsoft Office suite and the Internet as well as more professional design, print and video editing applications e.g. Adobe Creative suite.

Problem Solving:

Efficient problem solver and effective crisis management skills, honed by practical and educational experience. I have skills in task and time management gained through my working and social life. I have developed valuable negotiation and customer care skills in order to meet and exceed client’s expectations, however unrealistic they sometimes can be.

The majority of my spare time is taken up by looking after my family and as the father to two girls free time is rare. Some of my social interests are; keeping fit, cooking, ICT, music and movies. I have recently taken up Skydiving as a hobby.
